3D Skin Rejuvenation™ from Cutera

Who can be treated?
Men and women of any age who wish to improve their skin can be treated. Skin which is lax has surface wrinkles, redness, brown spots, or enlarged pores are the most common conditions to treat.
What areas can be treated?
The most popular areas for treatment are the face and neck, but other body parts such as the hands, arms and abdomen, are also frequently treated.
What do the treatments feel like?
LimeLight Facial and Photo Genesis deliver a series of pulses of light. When each pulse of light is delivered, you may feel a mild, brief pinching sensation.
Laser Genesis treatments are gentle and soothing. During the session you will feel a series of warm pulses along your skin.
With each Titan pulse, you will first feel cool, then a brief heating sensation followed by a cool feeling. Most patients are comfortable without taking any medication; a few prefer taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Consult with your treating practitioner for more information.
How many treatments will I need?
Each treatment regimen is different and customized to an individual patient’s needs. Most patients can expect between 2 and 6 treatments.
Are there any side effects?
The most common side effect is a slight redness or mild swelling in the treated area that disappears within a few hours.
When will I see results?
Immediate results are observed by some patients. More typically, you will see results in two to four weeks and improvements will continue for several months.

What can you do for veins?
We can treat the tiny red veins on the face called telangiectasia, the red or purple spider veins on the face or body, or mid-size blue leg veins. Our laser delicately heats theses vessels to eliminate them.
How is your treatment different from other options?
Our CoolGlide laser technology doesn’t involve needles and it minimizes any bruising or irritation of the surrounding skin. We can treat the very small veins on the face up to the larger veins on the legs.
How many treatments will I need?
The number depends on the quantity, colour and size of the vessels being treated, but typically one to three treatments are sufficient.
How long does each treatment take?
The length of time depends on the size of the treatment area but each treatment typically takes 5 to 15 minutes.
What does it feel like?
Patients may experience a mild to moderate stinging sensation as the pulses of light are delivered to the skin. A cooling mechanism is built into the handpiece to minimize the discomfort and protect the skin’s surface. No local anaesthesia or pain medication is necessary but some may opt to apply a topical anaesthetic or ice.
What can I expect afterwards?
Small vessels usually disappear immediately. Larger vessels, especially on the legs often look worse before they look better but will clear up over a matter of weeks or months. Wearing sunscreen regularly will help.
Is it safe?
Yes. Hundreds of thousands of CoolGlide treatments have been done to date. As with all medical procedures there is a slight degree of risk, and we will discuss this with you thoroughly when you come in for your consultation.
How much does it cost?
This depends on the extent of what you would like to have treated. I you’d like to make an appointment for a consultation, we can give you a specific idea as to the number of treatments and the price. If you choose to go ahead with the treatment we will subtract the consultation fee from the treatment fees.
Can anyone have it done?
The best candidates for CoolGlide treatments are those with tiny to mid-size veins on their face or body. This treatment is not used to treat raised varicose veins. We will evaluate whether your veins are appropriate for this treatment (or another) at the time of your consultation.
